The Royal National Park Coast Track Bite-Size Series:
Royal National Park, Wattamolla to Curracurrang and Curracurrong (Eagle Rock)
An easy and beautiful guided walk along a section of the Royal National Park's World Famous Coast Track. With low elevation and big views, its great for those who want something relaxing and easy on the joints whilst being spectacular on the eyes.
See spectacular rock formations along clifflines, as well as several waterfalls, including the famous Curracurrong twin falls at Eagle Rock that cascade 80 metres into a turquoise blue ocean, one of only 3 waterfalls in Australia that do so.
You can finish your day with a swim and picnic at Wattamolla after your walk (not part of the tour, this is a suggestion for you)
The Details:
🗓When: Sunday 16 June
⏰Time: Departs 10:00am
🧭Meet at: Wattamolla Carpark near the amenities area. ($12 entry fee or parks pass applies)
🗺 Difficulty: Easy (Fine for everyone from beginners to expert level)
⏳Length: 10km, 4-5 hours, including breaks
🥾Hiking boots: Sneakers are ok (closed toe shoes essential)
⛰Fitness level: beginner to moderate (most will be fine), 300m elevation gain
🚻Nearest Toilet: there are toilets in the car park to use before and after the walk. Please bring a snap-lock bag for taking out any tissues you may need to use on trail.
What to bring:
🎒 A small backpack to keep your hands free and pack the following:
💊essential medication (eg ventolin)
💧1.5 litres of water
⏹A small towel
🧢 a hat
🌞 Sunscreen
🥪 Lunch (we provide a substantial snack and hot drink)
👙 Cozzies in case you would like a swim!
